Dr. Deborah Bolanowski
MD, FAAPDr. Bolanowski grew up in New Jersey, went to Johns Hopkins University for an undergraduate degree in Psychology, and earned an MD degree at New York University School of Medicine. She did her Pediatric internship and residency at The Albert Einstein and Montefiore Medical Centers in New York City. She and her (now deceased) husband Dr. David Flowers moved to this area in 1986, where she worked with Dr. Howard Thomas for many years. They sold the practice to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and after working for Kids First Indian Valley, she took a short hiatus to care for her family. She joined Pennridge Pediatrics in 2002. She is a past President of the Medical Staff, past member of the Board of Trustees of Grand View Hospital, and current Trustee on The Grand View Foundation Board. She also serves on Grand View's Credentials Committee. She has three adult children. Her son, Michael Flowers, MD, is a Radiology resident at The University of Washington, in Seattle. Laura Flowers, MSW, is employed by Jewish Family Services in Philadelphia and is married to Tyler Sossong. Alexis Flowers, MD, is a resident of Opthalmology at Vanderbilt in Nashville. In addition to Pediatric practice, she enjoys gourmet cooking and dining, is an amateur oenophile, loves reading, spending time with family, and traveling.
